Summary of Benefits

Thank you for your interest in the Next Generation Mtuft G2. Please see below a summary of the new and improved Mtuft G2 sampling machine.

1. New Micro-Gauge means it is now possible to sample ColorPoint. This means ColorPoint sampling can be taken away from the production machines with only a single package of yarn per colour – no package rewinding. This allows for the fast development of new designs and colour ranges.
   
   
2. The Mtuft G2 can move the heads independently in the X direction, meaning the looper is aligned to the needle for loop pile and the conventional hook is aligned to the needle for cut pile or end of row cut. This means production quality loop or cut without mechanical adjustment.
   
   
3. New interchangeable hooks for cut pile, level loop (LCL) and cut-loop hook with clip. This means all cut, LCL and cut-loop products are the same quality as the production machine.
   
   
4. New ‘Eltex’ yarn break detector means a more reliable unattended operation. Many mechanical adjustments have been improved and simplified – adjusting the looper hook and knife stroke for example are now done with an unlock and adjust screw for each action. This saves time when making precision stroke adjustments.
   
   
5. New “bed height” adjustment allows for small changes to the looper and needle relative heights without changing the needle stroke. This saves time in making precision adjustments and results in a better sample.
   
   
6. Brand new Beckhoff control system and industrial PC means faster machine start-up and a long, reliable life.
